portfolio of environmental theory critique

In fall term of 2019, as part of the course Environmental Theory during my senior year at Lewis & Clark College, I reviewed selected entries from our comprehensive course text, Companion to Environmental Studies (Castree et al. 2018).

At over 800 pages and 150+ entries, there are many to choose from. Entries are organized into sections of classical vs. contemporary environmental concepts and approaches, key topics and debates.

I selected among the sections when choosing entries to review. In each of the reviews below, I summarize the piece, offer critique, then apply it to the development of my own research framework.
